Administration Support Officer, Coronial Services Unit, Auckland Part Time – Fixed term Six months July to December 2018 - 20 hours per week

The Ministry of Justice established in 2007 a new National Coronial Service as part of the implementation of the Coroners Act 2006.  The Coronial Services Unit supports the work of the Chief Coroner and 17 full-time Coroners located across New Zealand.

As a Administration Support Officer based in Auckland, you will be responsible for providing the Coroners, the Coronial Services Case Managers and on occasion the wider Coronial Services team outside Auckland with efficient and effective administration support services. There may also be on occasion required some confidential and professional secretarial support.

You will need to maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders as well as have exceptional interpersonal skills that will support the team under diverse and sometimes sensitive circumstances.

On occasion, there will be a requirement to work additional hours with advance notice given so some flexibility in availability is required for this role.

Some travel may be required on occasion as part of the role. A full New Zealand drivers license is required.

This is a challenging role that will allow you to utilise your administrative experience, people and relationship management skills to a high level and be part of the team that provides New Zealanders with a first-class Coronial Service.

The salary range for this role is: $37,538.00 to $50,787.00
