Judges Clerk District Court, Fixed Term – start date January 2020, Based at the Hamilton District Court

MOJ/1429935

This is a 2-3 year fixed term internship for motivated, enthusiastic law professionals to develop an intricate and firsthand view of the judicial system. You will provide high quality research and directly support the District Court Judges.

If you have an LLB with a strong academic record, excellent written communication and research skills and good computer literacy this could be the opportunity for you.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently towards deadlines, self-motivated to manage workloads and maintain confidentiality. To excel in this role, you will understand and consider the practicalities of outcomes as well as their legality.

You will provide high quality research to resident and visiting District Court Judges in the Central region. You will fulfil that responsibility by supplying efficient and accurate legal support on any topic required.

You are also required to include with your application the copy of the transcript of your academic record. 

Applicants are requested to provide an example of recent legal research that they have completed, preferably not more than two pages in length.

Starting salary:  $47,687
