We are looking for a full time Legal Secretary to join our team in our Central Auckland Office. We are a collegial and professional office with around 40 legal and support staff.
You will be joining an experienced and supportive team who have a genuine interest in sharing knowledge and supporting one-another in an enjoyable, busy and sometimes challenging environment, while working in an interesting criminal defence environment.
As a legal secretary you are responsible for ensure the PDS legal team are supported in a professional, effective and efficient manner. You will have a proactive approach to the provision of legal secretarial and general office and administration services, while identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery

To be successful in this role you will need to be:
- Experienced and efficient in a range of administration functions, including typing and data entry
- A self-starter with proven initiative and the ability to take control of a busy workload
- Keen to learn about the world of criminal defence law
- Forward thinking and action orientated
Strong written and confident verbal communication skills are critical - both in terms of the work you will do with the lawyers and also with our clients. As a key team member at the PDS you will have access to a very successful three-month induction programme designed specifically for PDS administration staff.

Salary range depending on experience $50,128 to $61,922 (105% of band) per annum
