Senior Advisor – Governance & Assurance, People Experience
Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role
The Strategy and Performance team is responsible for translating the Ministry's organisational strategy into a People Experience strategy and work programme, providing a centralised hub of PX data, reporting, analytics and insights to assist with evidence-based decision making.
The Senior Advisor, Governance and Assurance will maintain the system that keeps our work relating to governance, assurance, planning, reporting, and other corporate functions. You will be ensuring papers are submitted appropriately to decision-making committees, producing planning documents, and managing the obligations the group has to Ministry-wide performance, accountability, financial, planning and corporate reporting matters.
He pūkenga tou/skills and experience
You will need:
- expertise in understanding and interpreting complex documents, including legislation, financial, numerical and business information
- an understanding of the context and wider environment, with the ability to balance technical and non-technical issues
- the use of governance and accountability systems and processes, ideally in the public sector, including the use of performance information to inform decision-making
- an understanding of planning, reporting, and programme and project management systems
- well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to manage challenging negotiations and relationships

Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role will be between $84,366 and $110,172 based on skills and experience.
