Family Court Co-Ordinator at NZ Ministry of Justice, Multiple Locations

Family Court Co-ordinator (FCC) - Domestic Violence (DV) Programmes Team 

 

Two full-time positions available (Monday - Friday) with the possibility of some flexibility.

 

Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role

Te Tāhū o te Ture | The Ministry of Justice wants people to have better access to justice services and be able to deal with us easily and quickly. That means improving how we support the courts, the place where we have the most impact on people's lives and help keep our communities safe.

In the role of FCC for the DV programmes team, you can play your part in ensuring Criminal and Family Court participants have access to the services and programmes needed for their case. In the FCC role, you will be liaising via e-mail and phone with external providers; other government agencies and internal court personnel (including the Judiciary). You will also have contact with non-violence programme and safety programme participants to encourage engagement and/or attendance.

 

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be based in Christchurch or Wellington
  • Have sound administration skills and not fazed by extensive computer-based work
  • Be comfortable working in an environment that does not have face-to-face contact with stakeholders/participants
  • Have sound decision making and confidence in investigating a wide range of information to ensure the best possible outcome
  • Have some knowledge of the Family Violence Act and/or an understanding of the dynamics of family harm
  • The ability to navigate a variety of IT operating systems
  • The ability to be agile and respond to process and legislative changes
  • Experience in delivering tasks that may be time bound, not getting overwhelmed with a large volume of time sensitive tasks arriving at once
  • The ability to understand possible risks associated with family harm and how to action tasks to minimise potential risk

Salary Range

The appointing salary for this role will be between $63,019 and $82,295 based on skills and experience.
