Senior Systems Analyst HR

In 2020 we implemented a new operating model which created the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) team. It has been an exciting time for the team, and we have an opportunity to get involved as part of the journey to see it build and develop over time. This is a permanent full-time position which reports to the Team Leader HRIS.
This role will be involved in the development and maintenance of the HRIS system and ongoing support for SAP and associated systems. You will be responsible for the on-going reliability, performance, and support of the environments including training, research, and analysis. The roles provide triage, incident management and advice and/or recommendations to the Team Leader HRIS and Manager Payroll & HRIS.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Deep knowledge and experience with SAP Employee Central and/or Employee Central Payroll
- Led releases or system upgrades work programmes, including testing and defect management
- The ability to work through a problem and identify the cause with a view to establishing a solution
- Effective planning and organisational skills, including time management and prioritising work
- The ability to identify areas of process improvement/system development
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A commitment to building Māori capability - both personally and within your team.

The Payroll and HRIS team is part of finance and you will work closely with our people experience and digital teams. Finance leads the design, development and delivery of effective financial strategies, policies, systems and management aligned to the Ministry's strategic direction. The team enables the Ministry to meet its financial reporting and taxation requirements, provide payroll, employee data, and financial transaction processing.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $91,130 and $119,005 based on skills and experience.
