This is an exciting time for Te Arawhiti – the Office for Māori Crown Relations. We're about to enter a new phase for the organisation, taking on a new name, with a strengthened focus on completing historical Treaty settlements and supporting Takutai Moana determinations.
Following Government's decisions last year to transfer the Māori Crown Relations portfolio to Te Puni Kōkiri, we've redesigned Te Arawhiti so it's ready to take on new challenges, while maintaining much of the unique mahi that makes the culture of our organisation so special. Te Haeata/The Opportunity
As a key member of the Corporate team, the Senior Advisor Reporting will be responsible for providing leadership in reporting and performance measurement to Te Arawhiti senior leaders.
You will ensure the agency's performance measures are appropriate, the report content is aligned with our strategies and goals, and that all reports meet accountability obligations.
As the organisation's expert on reporting and performance measurement, you will be managing the reporting and performance measure development processes at a strategic level, ensuring that the organisation meets all its reporting obligations, providing advice on the reporting process and content, and ensuring that all reports are prepared to schedule and the required level of quality.
The Senior Advisor Reporting is responsible for preparing and delivering the Annual Report, the Minister's quarterly performance reports, monthly management reports, Select Committee hearings, and working with the Ministry of Justice on the Estimate of Appropriation document.
Ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Justice across this roles work will be required. You will bring experience in managing and preparing performance reports for senior leaders and Ministers, statutory reports such as Annual Reports and Organisational Strategic Intentions documents, Select Committee questionnaires and presentations.
Your expertise is in your knowledge of organisational performance measurements and how they are developed and monitored, with the ability to provide reporting and performance measure advice to senior leaders in an engaging and meaningful manner.

Our mahi sees the Crown addressing historical breaches of, and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we work to restore the Crown's relationship with Māori and help recognise Māori customary rights under Takutai Moana legislation.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
