Te Haeata/The Opportunity
Use your learning analysis and evaluation expertise to make a difference - It is an exciting time to be involved in learning and development (L&D) at The Ministry of Justice as we work to improve the experience of those who work in and interact with our courts and tribunals. We have new two Senior Learning Analyst roles available, to work on two crucial pieces of work. The analysis and insights provided by the Senior Learning Analyst are a key resource for OSD L&D design and delivery teams and OSD leadership teams, to ensure that the learning we plan, design and deliver is aligned with business priorities, the needs of the learner and the capabilities and skills required for our frontline kaimahi to be successful.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
As a Senior Learning Analyst, you will go deep into the detail to truly understand what learning is needed and how we should evaluate its effectiveness. This means you will have an in depth understanding of how to draw on a variety of sources to identify the competencies, capabilities and skills needed in a role. You will know how to complete a skill-gap analysis and how to translate this into measurable learning objectives. You will know how to assess learning and evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions, drawing on evaluation insights to make recommendations for ongoing continuous improvement.
Your insights will provide clarity to others in the L&D team to accurately plan, design, and deliver sustainable learning pathways, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. Your role is critical in empowering the L&D team to effectively meet the needs of learners and align learning solutions with the Ministry's strategic goals.
You will collaborate with others in the L&D team, business units, operational groups, data teams and key stakeholders to gather the insights you need for your analysis and to report your evaluation findings. You will report to the Manager Learning Planning and Quality Assurance.
This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment. You must be organised, collaborative, and adaptable, with the ability lead the analysis work needed immediately. If you know what effective learning looks like and how to define what learning is really needed to enable kaimahi to be successful, this is the role for you.
Mō mātou/About us
We have two positions available, the first role is an 18-month, full time, fixed term position. We are seeking to modernise the administration of justice by replacing highly manual, time-consuming, paper-based process with a new digital case management solution transforming the way people access and experience justice in Aotearoa New Zealand. Te Au Reka is a large system shift that will be the vehicle for this change. To implement changes like this we need well planned, targeted, and effective learning, this is where the Senior Learning Analyst will play a crucial role.
The second role is a focused, 6-month, full time, fixed term position. We are designing, planned, cohesive learning pathways for all our frontline roles. These pathways will map the technical competencies, capabilities and skills required to take kaimahi from induction to full competency. In this role you would be mapping the first of these learning pathways for roles within the courts.
Joining Te Tāhū o te Ture means you will become part of an organisation that welcomes and supports people of all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, disabilities and religions.
