Land Advisor – Shape the Future of Treaty Settlements

 We're looking for a Land Advisor to help us unlock the stories behind Crown land and support historic Treaty settlements. This is your chance to work at the heart of Aotearoa's reconciliation journey.

Te Haeata/The Opportunity

• Dive deep into land history and uncover how it came into Crown ownership.
• Turn complex research into clear, actionable instructions for deeds and settlement bills.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to make settlements happen.
• Build strong relationships that drive positive outcomes for iwi and the Crown.

Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience

• A law degree or strong technical land experience.
• Knowledge of Crown land processes and the Treaty of Waitangi.
• Sharp research and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• Project management experience is a bonus.

Location: Wellington-based, with flexible working options discussed at interview.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $84,562 and $116,273 based on skills and experience.
