NIIO Coordinator at NZ Ministry of Justice, Auckland Region

Te Haeata/The Opportunity

We are a small team which provides a 24/7 service on behalf of The Coroners Court.

You will be the first point of contact to answer inbound enquiries. You will accurately identify the needs of your caller ensuring the appropriate response and action is taken using your knowledge and experience.

At other times you may be processing a range of administrative tasks associated with the management of matters notified to the Coroner.

You will be a key link between the Coroner and other relevant parties using the file management systems to ensure everyone has access to the information required to maintain a highly effective service.

There are two permanent positions available.

Key Skills

  • Ability to question and listen to what people need, analyse information and act quickly, decisively and make accurate decisions.
  • Ability to handle stressful and emotionally difficult situations with a level head and a sensitive approach.
  • Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Ensuring critical and sensitive information relating to cases is stored, retrieved and communicated appropriately with a broad audience.
  • Collecting and collating correspondence from various internal and external sources.

Requirements for the role

  • You will need to have an ability to work across a 24/7 roster. Our shifts are 07:00-15:30,10:00-18:30, 15:30-00:00, 23:00-07:30
  • NCEA Level 2 or demonstrated equivalent work experience.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The remuneration band for this role is $59,729 to $80,794 – while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
