Senior Advisor at NZ Ministry of Justice, Wellington City

We are looking for a Senior Advisor to join the Community Service team in the Ministry of Justice National Office.

You will be a relationship manager responsible for management of a portfolio of contracted third party providers. This involves contract performance and practice standard monitoring, management and reconciliation of monthly invoices, and provider support. You'll be expected to have regular communication and relationship management interactions with your providers, including scheduled site visits as required.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • be a confident public speaker
  • have excellent plain English writing skills
  • build strong relationship management skills
  • be able to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • have a full, clean drivers' licence (regular travel is part of this position)
  • have an understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns in particular Tikanga Māori

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • experience working at a senior advisor level or equivalent
  • relevant qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience
  • knowledge of public sector processes, including social sector funding
  • demonstrated experience of relationship management and working with community stakeholders
  • well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • the ability to work well in a team with motivation to learn from others.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The remuneration band for this role is $99,208 to $135,539 – while the appointing salary will be between $99,208 and $127,682 based on skills and experience.
