Support Hub Team Leader

Are you a dynamic Manager, looking for the next move in your Legal Support career? Excited to work in a criminal defence environment? Have exceptional technical and leadership skills? This is one of two Support Hub Team Leaders. You will be working closely with the Wellington Support Hub Team Leader.
As the Legal Secretary Team Leader, you are responsible for:
- leading and managing a team of support staff in a centralised hub,
- the delivery of quality centralised legal support services to the Public Defence Service's (PDS) legal staff,
- ensuring the legal staff are supported in a professional, effective and efficient manner.
Working closely with your counterpart in Wellington you will:
- build the capability of the legal support team,
- implement consistent standards,
- identify leverage opportunities for system, process and business improvement and,
- work collaboratively with Office Public Defenders and Support Services Managers.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need:
- proven experience in providing coaching,
- highly developed skills in technological competency using technology to improve efficiency,
- proven experience in gathering, analysing and reporting on performance including solutions for improvement,
- experience leading and managing a team of support staff in the provision of proactive operational and business support whilst building collaborative relationships.
Strong skills in managing relationships and a high level of written and verbal communication are both critical in this role. You will have high personal flexibility, adaptability and responsiveness to change. This role is one that is both challenging and rewarding. A role where you can truly add value at a local and national level.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The salary range for this role will be $85,562 to $116,273. The appointing salary for this role will be between $85,562 and $109,862 based on skills and experience.
