Law Clerk

Te Haeata/The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for a current law student who wishes to build on their legal knowledge in a fast paced and supportive criminal law environment.

As a criminal law clerk you will

  • Draft legal documents
  • Complete legal research
  • Supply administrative support to our legal team
  • With client permission, you may also have the opportunity to observe client interviews and court appearances

To be successful you must be passionate about criminal justice issues and:

  • enjoy exchanging ideas and brainstorming,
  • be willing to provide support when required,
  • have empathy and the ability to relate to a wide range of people,
  • want to build your legal knowledge in a criminal law environment.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between  $60,712 to $77,021 dependant on skills and experience.
