Job Description

We are seeking an experienced technical adviser to join MPI's Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines team within our Regulation & Assurance Branch.

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) works across all aspects of primary production with a focus on the success of the primary sector for the benefit of all New Zealanders.

The team is primarily responsible for protecting and enhancing New Zealand's primary produce through the regulation of agricultural inputs.

The role will see you applying your scientific knowledge in the assessment of new and innovative compounds intended for use in New Zealand's primary production sector. You will also play an important part in the establishment and implementation of policy and standards that ensure the safety of New Zealanders and the protection of domestic and international trade.

This is a career where your technical knowledge and experience in agricultural or veterinary science, chemistry, manufacturing or similar can make a real difference to all of New Zealand. Industry experience would be advantageous. The role also provides an opportunity to further develop your career within a large and dynamic organisation.
