Job Description

The Ministry for Primary Industries plays a key role in setting the rules and creating the systems that food business use to make food safe and suitable.  Implementing the new risk-based Food Act 2014 has been underway for a couple of years.  Over 45,000 businesses are affected in a range of ways, depending on what they make and how they make it.

We want to hear from you if you are a talented digital content designer with strong user experience skills.  You will be creating new digital content that conveys often complex information in new, clear, and visual ways.

On top of your digital content design expertise, we are looking for people who are creative, are biased to action, and relish solving problems.

We have a fixed term vacancy in the Food & Beverage team.  The role will initially focus on supporting the activities of the Food Act implementation programme, but later will work on the team's ongoing standard setting and implementation priorities.  We are a very multi-disciplined team, who are pushing the limits of modern regulation.  We are motivated by making it easier for New Zealand businesses to know what they must do, and choose how they achieve it.
