Job Description

We have two Certification Coordinator positions available. You will be based in our Auckland office (near the Airport) Certification Coordinators provide administrative, document control and general office coordination and administration whilst promoting Verification Services goal of technical excellence both locally and nationally.


About the role

The role primarily involves preparation of consignment-specific documentation, and administrative and support services. As a Certification Coordinator you will have a strong administration background, good customer service and communication skills (face-to-face & telephone), be quick yet accurate at data entry, demonstrable experience in multi-tasking and prioritising work load. It will also be beneficial if you have a basic understanding of invoicing.

About the Organisation:

The Certification team is within the Verification Services Directorate of MPI. Verification Services mission is to protect consumers and enhance New Zealand's position as a trusted supplier of food through a world-leading regulatory programme. The Directorate audits the food safety programmes of food processors and provides export certification for a wide range of animal products. 


Key Skills / Educational Requirements

 Experience in managing relationships with an assortment of external stakeholders and customer and can demonstrate experience of a customer centric approach

  • Time management: Be able to organise, prioritise, multi-task and where applicable, delegate to efficiently accomplish tasks and meet objectives
  • Previous experience in administration and document control
  • Experience demonstrating strong skills in customer service focus, use of information technology including MS Office suite.
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
  • Familiarity import and export industry
