Job Description

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Programme and Investment Analyst in our Investment Analysis team within the Sector Partnerships & Programmes.

 

The Senior Programmes and Investment Analyst supports the directorate to make quality investment funding and management decisions by providing expert analysis, reporting and advice. This includes the identification of risks, challenges, opportunities, benefits and outcomes, as well as processes supporting pipeline management and investment review and evaluation. You will work with an existing team member on month end reporting (accruals, variance analysis, forecasting) and database reporting.

 

The Sector Partnerships and Programmes (SPP) Investment Analysis team supports the wider directorate with finance, reporting, coordination and support services, and manages the directorate's programmatic pipeline and benefits tracking processes. The team also supports the Regional Economic Development directorate with specialist assessment of large or complex Provincial Growth Fund applications.

 

Key skill / experience requirements:

 

  • Experience in extracting key business information from data
  • Professional experience in the management and/or oversight of funds.
  • Understanding of All of Government best practices.
  • Knowledge of analysis and reporting tools and techniques
  • Knowledge and skills for Microsoft project and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Portfolio management approaches, systems and tools and their practical implementation.
  • Expert relationship management.
  • High degree of initiative and perseverance to follow through a project or issue to successful completion or resolution.
  • Able to work on multiple projects in a matrix or line management system
  • Experience/knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting
