The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) provides a critical role in securing New Zealand's economic prosperity. Not only does the Ministry protect New Zealand from biological risk, it works to maximise export opportunities for our primary producers, ensure sector productivity is as high as possible, and that our natural resources are sustainably used.

We're looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our Communications and Channels directorate for 12 months (fixed term).

You will be skilled and equipped with a solid understanding of today's ever-changing digital landscape, have a passion for social media and have a strong head for data analysis. This role would suit someone with a few years' experience.

You will have had experience managing social media in a work context and have good communications skills which will enable you to uncover and write about the great stories that exist everywhere at MPI. Video production and graphic design skills would also be advantageous.

You will be a natural networker who is able to build the profile of social media at MPI, work with MPI colleagues to source great content, and build MPI's engagement using social media.
