Executive Coordinator at Ministry for Primary Industries, Wellington City

Role: Executive Coordinator

Role type: Fixed Term, Full Time

Location: Wellington

Salary band: $59,148  to $80,024 (depending on skills and experience)

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced Executive Coordinator to provide high quality support to our Animal Welfare Director until May 2023.

  • You will be energetic, have strong communication and relationship skills, attention to detail, the ability to effectively and efficiently manage your managers' time, ensure deadlines are met and able to keep track of correspondence flow and deliverables for the directorate.
  • You will be working in an ever-changing environment, and have the ability to remain calm under pressure, while remaining focused, flexible and adaptable, and having the confidence to operate within a degree of ambiguity.
  • You will be a true team player, willing to work alongside the other Executive Coordinators and the branch executive assistant, to deliver cohesive and professional support to this unit.

 

Mōu - About You

  • Ideally, you will have worked in the public sector and have a good understanding of how the mechanics of government works, but most importantly you are a self-starter who gets things done.
  • You will be familiar with Microsoft office software and have the ability to build and manage relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Having a primary industries or regulatory background would be an asset.
