Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Coordinator to join our team and provide executive support to our Animal and Plant Health Directorate. The Animal and Plant Health Directorate has an interesting and varied work programme and the Executive Coordinator plays a vital role in managing limited time effectively, fostering relationships and coordinating our activities, and meeting key reporting requirements.
The Animal and Plant Health Directorate is a friendly and welcoming group – all our achievements require a team MPI approach, so we focus on working well together and with others across the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience supporting a tier 3 or 4 leader preferably in Government, working in a busy and varied environment. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be pivotal to building successful relationships across all levels of the Ministry for Primary Industries.
You'll quickly acquire a reputation for acting with initiative and your ability to think on your feet will give confidence that you will successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Your eye for detail and written and verbal communications skills will be second to none.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in an office environment
- Experience with supporting Senior managers
- Knowledge of administration and business support systems and processes
- Experience in coordinating corporate service management activities by assisting with budget, personnel and IT processes
- Strong time management
- Fantastic customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Resilience and reliability

The salary for this role is circa $59,148 to $80,024 per annum depending on skills and experience.
