Job Title: Team Leader - Workforce
Role type: Permanent Full-time
Location: Rotorua or Wellington
Salary range: $109,626 to $128,972 depending on skills and experience
Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The Team Leader - Workforce is responsible for leading a team to deliver key workforce initiatives, in conjunction with the forestry sector, to ensure we have the right people, with the right skills for now and for the forestry workforce.
You will work alongside other key workstreams such as the Industry Transformation Plan to ensure we have identified the key skills needed for the workforce of the future and that we're working with the right people across Forestry and the education sector to make sure the training and qualifications are in place too.
Core responsibilities for the role:
- Lead the delivery of the ongoing TUR-NZFS work programme that supports the sector to implement the Workforce Transition Plan and enable the team to build a platform for the implementation of this plan.
- Take the lead on foundational workforce skills research
- Support the implementation of workforce initiatives that enable Te Uru Rakau New Zealand Forest Service to meet it's strategic goals/
- Build relationships with key industry stakeholders and government agencies that will assist with delivering against the forestry goals.

In addition, our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as a people leader.
- Experience in consulting and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in the successful delivery of projects/work programmes
- Understanding of customer research methodologies
