Role type: Permanent

Location: Wellington

Salary range: $92073 to $108321 depending on skills and experience

Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role

We are looking for out of the box thinkers, with an ability to see the bigger picture and think of creative and innovative ways for MPI to improve its response readiness.

No one day will be the same, whether leading the design and delivery of a new response leadership course with our Learning and Development Team, building and facilitating a training exercise for our industry partners, conducting a debrief and lessons collation for a recent response or actively being involved in a response.

This role will constantly challenge you and keep your interest peaked.

You will work closely with our Response Group, Human Resources Team and Learning and Development Team to ensure that all projects, activities and processes are developed in consultation with the business and are fit for purpose – actively leading and delivering the allocated work programme.

Really, it's about ensuring the best potential solutions are analysed and developed to meet our future response capability needs.

Mōu - About You

You will be passionate about implementing and embedding effective frameworks relating to the development of response capability.

  • An excellent communicator who is highly driven, productive and has the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to look at complex problems from a broad perspective.
  • Project management skills, including experience in leading work and achieving outcomes in situations where there are diverse interests.
  • 5-10 years' experience in a relevant profession.
  • A proven ability to deliver quality advice, guidance and material on time.
  • Experience in workshop facilitation.
  • Experience in a response environment and/or the Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS) framework is desirable, however not essential.

Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the Team

Salary range for this role is $92,000 to $108,000 depending on skills and experience.
