Salary Band: $113,626 to $152,318 depending on skills and experience
Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The Team Leader PMO Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of project management office operations including the Project Coordinator and Administrator resource pool.
You will work alongside the PMO Manager and Project Delivery Lead to ensure project management controls are in place that effectively support the success of Te Uru Rākau - New Zealand Forest Service programmes and projects.
Lead and support a team of Project Coordinators
- Proactively work with Project Office Leads to contribute toward process improvements
- Actively facilitate effective communication between key stakeholders
- Work with Finance and Project Leads to ensure PMO financial management processes are well documented and effectively managed
Mōu - About You
You have:
- Experience in staff management, coaching and mentoring
- Minimum 7 years' experience working in a senior role within complex project and programme environments
- Working understanding of best practice management of P3M, reporting, risk and issue management, and dependency management.
- Strong financial management abilities
- Significant experience in project and programme governance practices
- Proven ability to work with others to find solutions to complex issues
- A high degree of initiative and perseverance to follow through a project
Importantly, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience and are Prince 2 practitioner certified.
Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the Team
The Operational Programme Delivery (OPD) directorate provides services to the Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service branch (TUR) to help the successful delivery of projects and provides assurance through monitoring and reporting on these projects. This helps to enable TUR to achieve its objectives (IT, infrastructure, central project management) and drive change.
The Project Office team within the OPD directorate is responsible for increasing the TUR Portfolio, Programme and Project management (P3M) practices through the provision of best practice advice, guidance and the implementation of standardised, consistent, reliable, and predicable structures, tools and processes; to ensure initiatives effectively and efficiently achieve their objectives.
