Project Manager at Ministry for Primary Industries, Wellington City

Role type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Wellington

Salary range: $109,626 to $148,318 depending on skills and experience

 

Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role

The Ministry of Primary (MPI) manages an incredibly diverse New Zealand-wide property and asset network. We're on the hunt for an experienced property Project Manager to join our Wellington-based Property team.

As one of our Project Managers, you'll deliver on our capital works programmes and ensure that all project management, administration, planning, and reporting requirements are aligned with the project's overall objectives and are delivered efficiently and effectively.

You'll work closely with our consultant team, setting project direction and ensuring everything is on track.

This is a great opportunity for someone keen to work across all disciplines of property.

 

Mōu - About You

You'll have extensive experience in property across both private and public sector. Ideally, we'd love you to have experience with property methodology and commercial property acumen.

Experience navigating complex public organisations will be beneficial, as will an understanding of governance.

This role interacts with a number of teams and workstreams, so you'll need to have a knack for building relationships with customers and stakeholders.

 

Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the Team  

MPI's Property and Assets team, which consists of 20+ people, has several functions: leasing; property-related project management; facilities management; change management; and fleet management, all with administrative support. Kirit Parbhu leads this team as its Director. Kirit has over 25 years of commercial property and project experience, specialising in Government property. He has experience in corporate real estate and led significant projects in tenant advocacy, property strategy development and transaction facilitation. This team is vibrant, diverse in their thinking and very collaborative in their problem solving. You'll be well supported in this role by a team of willing experts with a wealth of experience.
