The Ministry for Primary Industries are currently recruiting for a Senior Adviser Service Delivery & Change to join our People & Capability directorate, which forms part of Corporate Services business unit based in Wellington
Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The Senior Adviser Service Delivery & Change will help shape the future of People & Capability at MPI. We have talented people who are doing great work, and there is an opportunity to make improvements to the way we work that will make our services more efficient and effective for our own team, and for all MPI People and People Leaders. You will support the Director Service Delivery & Change to design and implement a new tiered Service Delivery Model (SDM) for our People & Capability (P&C) directorate.
You will map out change activity, meet with stakeholders, conduct current state analysis, facilitate workshops, and ultimately contribute to the design and implementation of new P&C services and processes.
The key accountabilities of this position include:
- Conducting current state analysis of P&C services and processes
- Contributing to the design of future state services, processes, roles, and responsibilities
- Developing, presenting, and supporting implementation of recommendations to improve P&C Service Delivery
- Leading projects and initiatives under the broader SDM programme of work and ensuring key outcomes and milestones are met
- Proactively building and managing strategic & trusted business relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
- Facilitating co-design workshops and presentations with stakeholders
Mōu - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience across a range of P&C/HR functions and proven abilities and confidence in working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders. This role works across all areas of P&C, so provides the chance to learn more about how a large P&C function operates – who we are, and how we work. Perhaps you are in a P&C function but looking for a role which gives you more visibility across a broader range of functions.
You will have strong analysis skills with the ability to identify root causes, ask the right questions, and present clear solutions in a logical way.
Importantly, you will be highly inquisitive, have excellent planning & organisation skills, and substantial experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships. You will also be an excellent communicator with effective presentation and project management skills.
