Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
We are seeking a talented, proactive Business Analyst to support the Animal and Plant Health Directorate with continuous improvement activities, processes, driving positive change, planning and general support in quality delivery of outcomes and outputs.
The position provides business analysis and support in the development of improved business processes and translation of data into reporting insights within the Directorate.
Prior experience of creating dashboards, balanced scorecards, and the process of performance measurement planning will be advantageous.
Strong communication, drive, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for this interesting, business focused diverse role.
Core duties also include Directorate reporting and acting as a key coordination point for a diverse range of activities across the organisation.
A large proportion of the work will be to support change initiative projects.

Mōu - About You
You will be working with the team to engage and advance good practices across the Directorate. We are looking for a strong and clear communicator, with a logical and pragmatic approach and a focus on action.
Prior experience, usage, and knowledge of performance measurement planning and reporting would be highly beneficial.
You will be flexible to try new approaches and thrive and drive forwards in getting improvements progressed and embedded.

Our team provides support across all of the Directorate, to aid efficient and effective practices and delivery.
Our team focus ranges from data maintenance and insights, process documentation and continuous improvement, business management and planning plus provides some specialist support areas.
It is an exciting team in a super interesting arm of MPI / Biosecurity NZ.
