Role Type: Fixed term - through to December 2026

Salary Band GSR Range D: $100,934 - $135,076 depending on skills and experience

Mōu - About You
You will be experienced in delivering strategies, projects and initiatives that help shape organisational culture and build capability. You'll be someone who has a real interest in the key strategic areas on which we focus, you'll care about the work we are doing. You're comfortable partnering and collaborating. Developing strong relationships is second nature to you.
You will have organisational development experience in a large and/or complex organisation in these areas:
- Leadership and capability
- Organisational culture, team development and performance management
- Inclusion, diversity, and equity
You will also have prior experience of working, and awareness of priorities, in the NZ public service and up-to-date knowledge of research and trends in organisational development. Ideally you will have organisational design experience.
We're looking for someone with:
- A recognised qualification in organisational development, human resources, business management, project management or a related field.
- Experience in Organisational Development as a Senior Adviser or similar role
Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the Team
This role sits within the Organisational Development (OD) team, which delivers initiatives and tools that strengthen culture, build capability, and support MPI's strategic direction. We develop leaders, grow Māori capability, create inclusive workplaces, and support our early‑career workforce.
You'll report to a Principal Adviser and work alongside a diverse group of OD specialists who care about each other and the impact we make. You'll be able to contribute immediately, with strong support from a team of Principal, Senior, Specialist and Advisory colleagues.
