Salary Band & range: General Salary Range F - $77,992 - $100,098 depending on skills and experience

 

About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga

We have an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark in supporting how Manatū ahu Matua Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) builds and maintains a positive workplace. You will play an important role in delivering to strategies and initiatives focused on enabling our people to do the best in their roles. We are focused on delivering services and programmes that meet current and future workforce needs.

 

The role will provide opportunity to deliver work in a collaborative way with Seniors, Principal Advisers and key people across the People and Capability function to embed our workplace culture principles throughout MPI's people and workplace related programmes. You will bring organisational development (OD) knowledge and a proven ability to deliver. The primary focus of the work will be supporting our leadership development programmes and workforce diversity initiatives with potential to support other OD priorities.

 

About You - Mōu

You bring experience supporting the delivery of projects, programmes and initiatives and have a genuine interest in organisational development and the strategic areas that support people to thrive. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you enjoy partnering with others and building strong relationships.

 

You are organised, proactive, analytical, and practical in your approach, with the ability to manage programme activity, communications, and relationships while keeping work moving. Curious and people‑centred, you are motivated to learn, and help others do their best work, knowing when to escalate or signal issues to ensure successful delivery.

 

You will have experience as an OD Adviser (or similar role) in a large and/or complex organisation in these areas:

  • Leadership development
  • Workforce diversity
  • Organisational culture, team development, and performance management

About the Team - Mō tō mātou Rōpū

This role sits within the Organisational Development (OD) Team. We are a diverse group of subject matter experts that care about the impact we have. The team consists of a mix of Principal Advisers,  Senior Advisers, Advisers, a Strategic Adviser and Coordinator. So, while we anticipate you'll have an immediate impact when you join the team, you'll be very well supported.

 

OD develop and deliver a range of initiatives, programmes and tools that support people and the organisation to deliver outcomes aligned to MPI's and Public Sector direction. In doing so we help shape organisational culture and build capability. We do this through developing our leaders, providing development opportunities and frameworks, building our internal Māori capability, creating inclusive workplaces, and building our early in career workforce.
