Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic New Zealand registered MIT to join our team.

The Whanganui DHB Radiology department is a friendly team with a great working environment focused on improving patient care. Our department is small but busy with x-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI and ultrasound all on site so there is plenty of opportunity for you to develop your career

If you are interested in joining our team and are dedicated to providing excellent patient care, have a strong commitment to high work place standards and are a person with a friendly flexibly attitude then this could be the job for you.

The role currently requires some shift work and on-call work in the evenings and weekends.

About you

• National diploma or degree in Medical Diagnostic Imaging or recognised New Zealand equivalent.

• Annual practicing certificate issued by New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board.

• Willingness to participate in on call and late shifts.

• Willingness to guide MIT students and contribute to their learning.

• Willingness to complete additional tasks, such as hazard management, health and safety, IANZ.

• Interest to continue their professional development by modality training as positions arise.
