Enrolled Nurse
Discharge Lounge
Permanent part time – Thursday and Friday 9am – 5.30pm

An opportunity has arisen within our hospital services for an individual with a commitment to improving the services provided to patients to help achieve a safe, efficient and timely discharge from the inpatient wards.

The position provides the chance for you to make a sustainable impact across WDHB to deliver its vision ‘He Hāpori Ora' – Thriving Communities.

The position will work in partnership with other members of the MDT and the patient's family and carers ensuring that all plans are in place for the time of discharge including transport arrangements.

About you

The successful applicant will bring the following skills and experience: 

• Current APC
• A strong customer focused approach to patient care
• Outstanding communication with staff / MDT / patients, family / whanau
• Ability to work independently
• Collaboration with ward staff for the effective transfer of patients to the discharge lounge.
