Ko te kaupapa | About the role
Whanganui District Health Board (WDHB) is seeking applications for a Rheumatologist or a General Physician with a special interest in Rheumatology. Our team are looking for someone whom wants to make a difference to our whānau /people in Whanganui.
You will work within a team of 6 physicians to provide acute General Medicine services for the people of the Whanganui rohe/region. You will provide specialist outpatient clinics for our rheumatology patients with support from a specialist nurse.
To be successful in the role, you will be a team player with a broad general medical qualification in order to provide an acute on-call service as part of the team. You will also have a specialist interest in rheumatology in order to lead the outpatient rheumatology service and provide advice and support to general practitioners in our region. Alternatively you will be a qualified rheumatologist.
