Clinical Manager – Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Dietetics (Parental Cover)

Fixed Term: 7 April 2026 – 8 January 2027 (9‑months)

We are seeking expressions of interest for the Clinical Manager position overseeing the following Allied Health services:

• Physiotherapy
• Occupational Therapy and Loans
• Speech & Language Therapy
• Dietetics

This is a 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) leadership role across all four services. However, full or part-role applications (individual services or two‑service combinations) are welcome.

You will be supported by experienced Professional Leads, a Coordinator, and senior clinicians, ensuring strong clinical and operational guidance throughout the fixed-term period.

About the Opportunity

This role is ideal for a current Clinical Manager or Team Lead seeking to expand their leadership scope across a wider multidisciplinary team (MDT). It is also a valuable development opportunity for emerging leaders ready to step into operational management within Allied Health, supported by an established and knowledgeable leadership group.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Strong experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organisational and structured work practices
• Health qualification or registration with an appropriate New Zealand professional body (if appropriate)
• A minimum of 5 years' professional experience
• Working knowledge of operational management processes

Reporting Line

This position reports to the Kaitakitaki Operations Manager – Allied Health / Associate Chief Allied Professions Officer (ACAHPO), Community Services, HNZ Whanganui.
