About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant in the Nursing Resource Unit (NRU), you will support Registered Nurses in delivering safe and effective patient care across multiple hospital areas. This includes direct patient support and related clinical activities in line with legislative requirements and Health NZ policies.
About the Team
The Nursing Resource Unit provides clinical support across all areas of Whanganui Hospital. You will work with a wide range of clinical teams, providing essential cover where needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least one year of experience as a Health Care Assistant or in a similar support role.
- Holds a valid New Zealand working visa or residency.
- Is reliable, adaptable, and confident working across different clinical areas.
- Works well within a team and contributes to a positive and safe workplace culture.
