About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic nurse to join our senior team as an Associate Charge Nurse (ACN) in STAR 4 on a permanent part-time basis, 0.8FTE. This role works alongside and in partnership with the Charge Nurse role coordinating the delivery of high quality, safe, client and family/whānau focused care in accordance with nursing philosophy, professional standards, legislative and organisational standards, policy and procedure.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Healthy Ageing and Rehabilitation (HAR) has 3 wards within this cluster that involves the diagnosis and holistic care of older people with complex health and social needs. Care is usually provided by multidisciplinary teams including geriatricians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and dietitians.

About you

  • Experience as shift leader within a ward setting
  • Minimum of 3+ years of acute medical nursing
  • Relevant academic qualifications and a commitment to post graduate level study
  • PDRP current, with the ability to attain an Expert portfolio within one year of working in this role
  • Proven ability in Trendcare/MIYA and WebPas use and has the ability to support staff with same.
