Hours of work: Rostered, rotated duties including morning, afternoon and night duties.

About the Role

Registered Nurse – Exciting Times!

Are you looking for an exciting change in nursing that challenges you?

Do you have excellent clinical skills and a positive attitude? 

MidCentral Palmerston North Hospital has various vacancies and are looking for experienced, quick thinking, and dynamic registered nurses to join our team in the following areas: 

  • Ward 26/Stroke
  • Ward 28/CCU
  • Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU)
  • Medical Speciality Wards
  • Integrated Operations Centre (IOC)

 Please specify in your cover letter/application your preferred clinical area.

 Varied hours available; full time and part time. All positions are working rostered rotating duties which includes night duty.

About You

Essential requirements include:

  • Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Ability to critically think and work autonomously
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritise
  • Provide best-practice within a multi-disciplinary team
  • A commitment to achieving equitable outcome for Māori.

 Acute medical surgical experience is preferred.
