About the Role


We're looking for a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team at Palmerston North Hospital in a permanent, full-time role. This position offers a varied workload, rotating through all shifts and covering General X-Ray, Theatre, ED, and Mobiles. Experience in Interventional Radiology and/or CT is a bonus, and full site orientation will be provided.
You'll be part of a collaborative team of around 60 MITs, including specialists in MRI, CT, General Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Sonography.
Key responsibilities include:
•
Performing high-quality patient examinations
•
Ensuring accurate data entry and completion of exam documentation
•
Upholding professional standards and health & safety practices
•
Supporting MIT students with supervision as needed

About you


We're after a skilled and professional Medical Imaging Technologist who's passionate about delivering top-tier patient care and maintaining clinical excellence. You'll bring integrity, a positive attitude, and a collaborative spirit to our team.

NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate


Strong communication and teamwork skills


Great time management, initiative, and adaptability


IV-line insertion skills (a bonus!)
