Whanganui Hospital Emergency Department is currently seeking applications for enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses with NZ nursing experience to join our dedicated team on a permanent basis. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide patient and whānau centred care to the people of our community, whilst continually bringing a positive, enthusiastic attitude to our working environment every day.

If you are a Registered Nurse with a positive attitude, who shares our collective passion for delivering exceptional service, you love the adrenaline charge of working in this type of environment and you have current experience nursing we want to hear from you!

Ko koe tēnei | About you

You must have:

  • Current NZ Nurse Registration
  • Have had at least 5 consecutive years New Zealand Nursing experience (not specifically ED)
  • Excellent work organisational skills and ability to work with a skilled team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Commitment to whānau centred care
  • On-going commitment to service improvement
  • A strong customer-focused approach to acute patient care
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with both staff and patients family/whānau
  • Desire to consistently deliver optimal patient care

This role will be challenging but equally just as rewarding!

We will provide you with an orientation package and ongoing support to develop the skills required to work in this specialty area.
