We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead and deliver health-focused programmes that drive equity, foster innovation, and improve outcomes for our communities. Thisrole offers an opportunity to contribute to the Pae Ora vision and create tangible impact in the lives of people across MidCentral.
About the Role
As Programme Manager, you will:
- Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of health improvement programmes across local, regional, and national levels.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, iwi-Māori partnership boards, community providers, and internal teams to co-design solutions that improve health outcomes.
- Apply recognised programme and project management methodologies to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement in health service delivery.
- Support and mentor project teams, fostering capability and leadership in programme management.
About You
To be successful for this role you will need:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the health sector and/or managing health-related programmes.
- Proven ability to lead complex programmes in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity in health outcomes.
- Recognised programme/project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP) or equivalent experience.
- Skilled in improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Model for Improvement).
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate change and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
