 About the Role

Te Uru Rauhi, Mental Health and Addiction Services at MidCentral have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse.  This position will be based in Tararua locality Team within the new Integrated Model of Care to clients and family/whanau.    

The Early Intervention in Psychosis Service provides recovery focused assessment, intervention and treatment for young people aged 14-25yrs experiencing first-episode-psychosis across the MidCentral region, both urban and rural, using a ‘shared-decision-making' process with service-users and their networks (prioritising family/whanau) where possible. 

About you

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill in the management of clients who present with mental health disorders.  The role will also include the capacity to be part a new model of care Te Mātāpuna o te Ora which focuses on a more integrated treatment approach with individual and family/whanau who present to mental health addiction services. We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, is committed to ensuring culturally responsive care, is excited by change and able to work across teams, and is committed to a strengths based recovery approach that supports clients and family/whanau to achieve their goals.
