We are looking for an experienced, passionate and quality focussed person to undertake the role of Charge Nurse STAR 4, Horowhenua Hospital.

Hours of work will be full time, Monday to Friday.

About the Team/Service/ Location

STAR 4 is a 20 bed rehabilitation ward for patients 16 years and over in the Horowhenua Health Centre, Levin, although most patients are over 65 years old.  It is part of the MidCentral Healthy Ageing and Rehabilitation (HAR) Cluster based in Palmerston North and has links to the Community Elder Health Team.

About you

The successful applicant for the Charge Nurse role will have a broad knowledge base with recent elder health/ rehabilitation nursing experience and will be capable of providing leadership and management for the nursing team in the ward. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team will be essential.   Ideally you will have Level 4 PDRP or being well on the way towards achieving this.

Essential criteria will include:

  • ​Experience as a Charge Nurse or recent experience at Associate Charge Nurse level
  • Recent experience in Elder Health/ Rehabilitation nursing
  • Ability to lead/influence change and change processes
  • An active commitment to colleagues and own professional growth
  • Your CV must provide valid evidence of the essential criteria upon application
