Booking Coordinator at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral, Manawatu / Whanganui

Palmerston North Hospital, Booking Coordinator – Full time Permanent 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic, resilient administrator looking for a role where you can make a real impact in a busy dynamic healthcare environment working within our Outpatient service, this is a permanent Booking Coordinator role, 40 hours a week.

Hours of work will be 40 per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm (max 8 hours a day).  

You will be responsible for a mix of duties including frontline reception work, clinic bookings and data entry so excellent word processing/data entry skills and multitasking is a must.  Other desirable attributes are the ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy and presentation, the ability to work closely with colleagues and to manage a variety of tasks in busy environments. Experience with medical terminology would be an advantage but not essential. You must be prepared to move location to meet demand, be able to prioritise and possess excellent organisational and time management skills. We all maintain a strong commitment toward quality improvement.

These are busy roles so resilience and excellent communication skills are paramount and a willingness to be a team player is a must. You will be supporting other administration roles in our Depts. as required.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess but not limited to the following:
