Are you calm under pressure, highly organised, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service? Join our team as a Coordinating Telephonist, where you'll play a vital role in keeping our hospital connected and responsive 24/7.

This is more than a switchboard role — you'll lead a small team while working hands-on in the hospital's communication hub, ensuring calls, paging, and emergency communications are managed efficiently and professionally.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and support a team of telephonists
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the hospital telephone exchange
  • Manage incoming calls, paging systems, and radio communications
  • Respond to emergency situations quickly and accurately

Oversee rostering and contribute to service improvements

About you

You'll be someone who:

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Has experience in a telephony, call centre, or coordination role
  • Brings strong communication skills and sound judgement
  • Can lead and support a team while remaining hands-on
  • Is calm, professional, and solutions-focused
