Eating Disorders Clinician at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral, Manawatu / Whanganui

About the Role

As an Advanced Clinical Dietitian within Mental Health and Addictions Services, you will provide specialist dietetic input to individuals experiencing eating disorders and co-existing mental health needs across both Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Adult Mental Health and Addictions Services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based nutritional assessment and intervention, contribute to recovery-focused care planning, and support tangata whaiora and their whānau throughout their treatment journey. Based primarily in Palmerston North and working across the Manawatū locality and wider rohe as required, you will play an important role in delivering culturally responsive, person-centred care and contributing to the ongoing development of specialist eating disorder services aligned with best practice and equity principles.

About you

You are a skilled and motivated Clinical Dietitian with experience or a strong interest in mental health, addictions, and eating disorder care. You bring sound clinical judgement, a strong evidence-based practice approach, and the ability to deliver safe and effective nutritional assessment and intervention within complex, multidisciplinary environments. You are confident working with tangata whaiora and their whānau, and you are committed to culturally responsive practice grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity principles. You communicate clearly, build trusted therapeutic relationships, and contribute positively to team culture and service development. You are reflective in your practice, committed to ongoing professional growth, and passionate about supporting recovery-focused care that improves outcomes for people experiencing mental health and eating disorder challenges.
