About the Role

As a TrendCare Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting safe staffing and workforce planning across the organisation. You will work closely with clinical teams, nurse leaders, managers and key stakeholders to ensure TrendCare data is accurate, meaningful and used to support effective staffing decisions. Your day will include analysing patient acuity and workforce data, supporting TrendCare implementation and optimisation, monitoring data quality, and providing advice and education to teams.

About you

  • Experience in healthcare, nursing, midwifery or a related clinical environment, with an understanding of safe staffing principles.
  • Experience using TrendCare or similar workforce planning, rostering or clinical data systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret workforce, activity and patient acuity data to support informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams, managers and key stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and support the ongoing implementation and governance of TrendCare.

About the Team/Service

Our team of three, the TrendCare and CCDM teamplays a key role in supporting safe staffing, workforce planning and quality improvement across the organisation. Working collaboratively with clinical teams, nursing and midwifery leaders, and operational managers, the team uses patient acuity and workforce data to support informed decision-making and ensure staffing resources are aligned with patient needs.

Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua – MidCentral is a 350-bed hospital in the city of Palmerston North, Manawatū, a city in the Lower North Island of New Zealand. Palmerston North Hospital is a secondary hospital and offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery. The hospital serves a local population of 180,000 but is the base for a regional head and neck oncology service which has responsibility for a population of 550,000 and draws patients from Whanganui, Taranaki, and Hawke's Bay.
