About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to provide day to day support and coordination functions for Community and Whānau programmes, team members and activities. The role focusses on enabling these to deliver efficient, effective, high-quality Community and Whānau Wellbeing programmes to improve population public health outcomes and wellbeing. Prioritisation and timely completion of programme support tasks – which may include administrative management, maintenance, action and follow up of overdue immunisation lists, client non-clinical liaison and scheduling of clinics, distribution of consent forms/packs, checking and collation of returned consent forms and follow up action as required. About the Team/Service/ Location
The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. About you
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with strong communication skills, able to build rapport quickly and manage tasks efficiently. You will have previous experience in programme and/or office administration, databases and coordination across internal/external stakeholders. We are looking for someone to support the team through coordination, reporting, meeting management, and preparation of presentations and documents.
- Proven experience in programme and/or office administration, databases and coordination across internal/external stakeholders.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in programme and/or office administration, maintaining databases, supporting a manager and team, with attention to detail.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
