We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team.
In this role you will be responsible for the ordering, supply and distribution of medication to hospital wards and departments for in-patient's, including topping up state of the art Pyxis machines. You will dispense medications for patients, including making medication compliance packaging and compounding medications, and assist in the general day to day running of the dispensary.
Training will be provided dependent on the applicant's previous experience. As part of a small team you will be encouraged and supported to extend your skills and work to the top of your scope. To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following:
- hold a New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy Technician – Level 5 or above
or be willing and committed to train as a pharmacy technician
- excellent attention to detail
- people orientated with excellent interpersonal skills
- excellent communicator
- have a high degree of accuracy
- have well-developed time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to an ever-changing health environment
- have the ability to work individually and also be an effective team player
- have excellent planning and organisational skills
- the ability to be adaptable and flexible
- be computer literate
