We have the opportunity for a motivated physiotherapist to join a dynamic and progressive team of physiotherapists and therapy assistants.

You will complete rotations and gain experience in inpatient surgical and orthopaedics, medical ward, critical care unit, acute stroke unit, Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation ward, outpatient department and community rehabilitation. This allows you to gain experience across a wide range of conditions at different stages of rehabilitation, whilst being supported by an integrative multi-disciplinary team.

Whanganui Hospital gives you the unique opportunity of being involved in patient care for their whole patient journey. You will be able to build professional relationships with patients and whanau along with other medical professionals involved in their care.

 Ideally you will hold the following attributes:

• New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist

• Have an understanding of other professional roles

• Physically fit and able to lift

• Motivated to maintain high level of knowledge and skill

• Cultural sensitivity

This position is ideal for new graduate physiotherapists looking to develop a good foundation in physiotherapy practice. This position also provides an opportunity for a more experienced physiotherapist to broaden their skill set and explore other areas of practice.
