Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Our Organisation
Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity
If you are looking for a challenge, then look no further! We have some incredibly exciting opportunities available for practitioners with CAMHS experience.
A brand-new role (to us) the Brief, Intensive Intervention Worker will work with young people and their families after a suicide attempt to ensure the young person and family have the support they need to regain their power and get back to normal for them. For this role we need someone with previous CAMHS experience, or acute mental health services. Someone who is fearless in the face of challenges, a strong advocate for the young people and families they work alongside and a bit of a people collector (in that they shine when meeting and engaging people).
One position will be based in Palmerston North and the other in Horowhenua.
For these roles, we need someone who can work autonomously and is also a team player, who is flexible, strong in who they are and willing to share and to learn along the way. Sense of humour an absolute must and the ability to enjoy our team!
In return we can offer:
- A truly amazing and authentic team who support and enjoy each other's company (mostly!)
- Great opportunities for clinical growth and development
- A supportive employer that recognises the value of the work we do with children, young people and their families
- A smashing community that works hard to ensure our young people and their families reach their potential
