Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity
The Social Work team at Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua | MidCentral provides services to the wider MidCentral region. MidCentral District is looking for an experienced Allied Health social worker to join the social work team for physical health.
This position is 40hours per week, covering a parental leave vacancy and is based in the Palmerston North/ Manawatu community. This position is predominantly inpatient work.
The applicant must have a recognised social work qualification, New Zealand registration, relevant experience in the health field, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, a sense of humour and be able to work in a multidisciplinary setting along with other health and community based professionals.
A driver's licence is essential and ANZASW membership is desirable.
