With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full time Associate Charge Anaesthetic Technician to join the Anaesthetics Department at Palmerston North Hospital.
This person will be required to work in close partnership with the Charge Anaesthetic Technician, management and the operating theatre multi-disciplinary team to support the co-ordination of clinical activities whilst providing clinical leadership for the Anaesthetic Technician team.
The Associate Charge Anaesthetic Technician will:
- Provide support the Charge Anaesthetic Technician
- Co-ordinate day-to-day clinical activities
- Provide direct clinical care as appropriate to the needs of the service
- Promote clinical excellence and provide clinical leadership and mentoring for the Anaesthetic Technician team
The successful applicant will be an experienced Anaesthetic Technician, who will be an excellent mentor for the Anaesthetic Technician Team. As the Associate Charge Anaesthetic Technician, you will have effective oral and interpersonal communication skills, effective time management of self and others, and accept challenges in an ever-changing work environment.
